Before talking about the products, I would like to show you the box which I really liked !!

Actually, what I liked in the boxes in France was that there was a different theme each month. And I would love if Glossybow was doing the same thing ! Like an british box with the Union Jack and Soap and Glory inside, or a californian box with palm trees and Urban Decay products ! :-D

  • STRANGEBEAUTIFUL Colorbloc (4/5)
I liked the packaging which is simple and nice. As for the nail polish I don't like the blue one (Actually, it's more violet), but the red really is gorgeous !!

  • RUSK Texture dry finishing spray (waiting for test)
Usually, I don't like dry spray because of the white residues. But this one is supposed not to have any ! So I look forward to try it !

  • AYRES Patagonia body butter (1/5)
The packaging is nice but I don't like the smell at all ! The cream, however, is smooth and easy to apply. It fits better for dry areas like feet or elbow and if the perfume is fine for you, this is a good cream for hydration.

  • CAMILLE BECKMAN Platinuméimperial repair hand therapy (waiting for test)
I don't like the packaging of this one...and I don't like the parfume either !! It smells like an hotel shampoo :-( But I'll give it its chance and let you know if I change my mind !

  • SUMITA BEAUTY Champagne eye shadow pencil (waiting for test)
Another product that I won't use right now because I already have a zillion like this... However I like the campagne colour for the eyes and I never tried an pencil/eyeshadow. It'll be fun to try !

Conclusion : So far, I liked this box...but wait until I tried everything and we'll see if "l'essai est transformé" !

Movie #3 : La vie d'Adèle / Blue is the warmest color (Abdellatif Kechiche)

Today, I will talk about "La vie d'Adèle" ("Blue is the warmest colour"), a great movie that I saw recently. I must say, that, at first, I didn't want to watch it, and I only did because I heard good critics about it. Indeed, even if it was a controversial movie, it got the Palme d'or in Cannes last year and my grandmother loved it (that's often a good sign !).

"La vie d'Adèle" is a movie about the relationship between Adèle (Adèle Exarchopoulos) a teenage girl and Emma (Léa Seydoux) a student in arts. It was written after the comic "Le bleu est une couleur chaude" (I didn't read it but it got a price and, if you're interested, you can find the author's work here : Julie Maroh).

A story about everyone's life

Watch the trailer and guess what it's about...

...Guess what...You're wrong !!!

When I first watch this trailer and I was like "Ok, that's not for me" (I already watch good movies about homosexual activism, but that's not what touches me the most). But in truth, the story isn't about lesbians. I read that the comic was, nevertheless here it just happen to be two girls in love. It could have been anyone.

The story is in two parts. The first one about Adèle in high school / her new love with Emma ; the second one is about Adèle in the working life / her long-last love with Emma.
To summarize (spoiler alert !!), in the first part, Adèle is in high school in Lille's area (North of France). She loves books and is willing to find love. She dates Thomas an other student, but she doesn't feel much. Then she meets Emma, and that is the love at first sight. She discovers then the "gay" world and tries to assume her love with Emma. However, she's not from the same class and has nothing of the "gay stereotype". So she has to deal with the stereotypes people have to find who she really is and where she belongs.
In the second part, Adèle is working as a teacher and Emma as a painter. They live together, even if Adèle still hides somehow their relationship. Adèle still feels uncomfortable in Emma's world and Emma expects Adèle to change, like if Adèle the teacher wasn't enough for her (she keeps asking her to become a writer). At one point she gets bored and lonely and cheats on Emma with a colleague. Emma dumps her right away and begins a serious relationship with Lise, a long-time friend who already has a child. Adèle becomes depressed, but eventually she understands that even if their love still exists, there is no relationship anymore.

Why I like this movie

Adèle Exarchopoulos really is the strength of the movie !
I thought it will only be a movie about lesbian problems, but in fact, it's way more than that. It's a movie about the life problems. The problems in a couple, The problems about being who you want to be. The problems about being in society without giving up to prejudges. I thought it will be about homosexual acceptance, but in fact it's about love and tolerance. The two subjects I'm really interested in !

LOVE

For me, we have to decide between love and passion. That may sounds sad but we cannot have both. Passion brings too much strong feelings for a balanced life. While love only growths with time and establishment. I may be wrong, but I have the feeling that Emma made that choice between having an exciting but exhausting life with Adèle and having a successful family live with Lise. However, she had before a passionate life with Adèle and I like how the director conveys the emotion. I even liked the crude sex scenes which sound real for me (I read that they weren't real for the lesbian community, but for me they were more real than every sex scene I had seen before_at least no girl screaming for nothing !). However, they were too long for me and at one point, it became embarrassing.

TOLERANCE

For me tolerance isn't just about accepting minorities. It's about accepting that nobody sticks to the clichés. Knowing that we like to put people in boxes, but that they're so much than that. And all this really makes sense in the movie. From the beginning, where Adèle can not just simply fall in love with someone without having to embrace the lesbian identity, to the end, where Adèle cannot do what she likes (teaching) without being disconsidered. I love also the parallelism between the dinner at Emma's parents place and Adèle's. They're from different worlds and have a totally opposite vision of life. And the good thing is that nobody's right !

In conclusion, as you probably understood, I really liked this movie. And if (to be really honnest), I get a little bit bored in the beginning (I slept actually !), I really enjoy the whole rest (so from the moment they became a couple). But in the end, it's a movie you don't want to end ! Adèle Exarchopoulos is also a great actress who really brings a lot to the movie and watching her makes you feel everything she acts.
Well, so as you saw, it was really a great experiment for me, and I hope if you see it, you'll enjoy it as much as I do !
